Buying an infrared cabin
for your weekday evenings.
An infrared cabin warms you rather than the air, with radiant heat at 45 to 60 °C. It runs on a standard 230 V circuit, without three-phase power, and fits in a bathroom, an attic or a wellness room. In our ’s-Graveland showroom you see infrared in real life; we install and maintain it ourselves, anywhere in the Netherlands.

Infrared: 45 to 60 °C on 230 V. Finnish: 80 to 100 °C, almost always on three-phase power.
An infrared cabin has emitters that warm your skin directly, not the air in the cabin first. That keeps the temperature between 45 and 60 °C. A Finnish sauna heats the air with a stove and stones, to 80 to 100 °C, and almost always needs three-phase power (3× 400 V).
What infrared does not give you is the ritual of stones and pouring water over them. If you want that, choose a Finnish sauna or a combi sauna, which has both in one cabin. We would rather talk that difference through beforehand than have you find out after installation.

Where it fits
Four places in and around the house.
An infrared cabin runs on 230 V, so no three-phase power has to reach the spot where it goes. We assess the space, ventilation and base before you choose.

One step from the shower. In Bussum we fitted an infrared chair in its own niche in a bathroom.

In the attic
An unused attic becomes a place of its own for the evening. We measure the space, under a sloping roof too.

A room apart from the living room. A combi sauna fits here too, if you want both Finnish and infrared.

In Bussum we fitted an infrared chair in its own niche in a bathroom. A spot like that starts with the question of where in the house you want the warmth, and only then with the model.
Installed in Amsterdam
Infrared in the garden, next to spa and shower.
In Amsterdam we installed an infrared barrel sauna, together with a Python spa and a Friss outdoor shower. The customer later wrote a review about it on Google.

In the showroom at Loodijk 24A there are eleven saunas on display, from barrel to bespoke, and an infrared cabin is among them. You see in real life how big a cabin is, which wood is used and how it is finished.
We take the time for your space and your questions. Allow three quarters of an hour to an hour for a first visit; that is quite normal.
After installation
Service in our own hands.
We keep installation and service in our own hands, without subcontractors, and the same people come back for maintenance. If you call with a question, you get us on the line. The heating elements of an infrared cabin carry a 20-year warranty, the rest of the cabin 2 years.

What does an infrared cabin cost?
That depends on the size, the wood, the emitters and the spot in your house, so you get a figure that is right in the consultation, not from a table. We always price delivery and installation separately, so you see exactly what you are paying for.
Does an infrared cabin need three-phase power?
No. An infrared cabin runs on a standard 230 V circuit. A Finnish sauna almost always needs three-phase power (3× 400 V); only very small Finnish models can run on 230 V. We take what your fuse box can handle into account in the conversation.
How much electricity does an infrared cabin use?
That depends on the output of the emitters, how often you use it and how long a session lasts. We deliberately do not quote a monthly amount, because it varies too much from household to household. You can work it out yourself, though: ask us for the estimated consumption in kWh and multiply it by your own electricity rate.
How warm does an infrared cabin get?
Between 45 and 60 °C. A Finnish sauna goes to 80 to 100 °C. With infrared the emitters warm your skin directly, not the air first, which is why the temperature in the cabin stays lower.
How big is an infrared cabin?
We tailor the glass cabin for indoors to your space, for one to three people. For the garden there are two models for two people: the infrared barrel sauna at 170 × 197 × 213 cm and the Niva cabin at 148 × 153 × 204 cm. We work out together with you which size fits your spot.
Where can you place an infrared cabin in the house?
In the bathroom, in the attic, in the basement or in a wellness room. Because it runs on 230 V, no three-phase power has to reach that spot. In Bussum we fitted an infrared chair in its own niche in a bathroom. We assess the space and ventilation before you choose.
What warranty do you get on an infrared cabin?
The heating elements carry a 20-year warranty, the rest of the cabin 2 years. We do installation and service ourselves, without subcontractors, so with a question or a claim you deal with us and not with a central helpline.
Can you see an infrared cabin in the showroom?
Yes. In the showroom at Loodijk 24A in ’s-Graveland there are eleven saunas on display, and among them you see an infrared cabin in real life: the size, the wood and the finish. We are open Wednesday to Saturday from 10:00 to 17:00 and on Sunday from 12:00 to 16:00. Outside those hours a visit is possible by appointment.
