A wood-fired barrel sauna in Zaandam

Our Zaandam project: a TR230 barrel sauna with a Harvia wood-burning heater.

In Zaandam, we installed a TR230 barrel sauna with a Harvia Linear 16 wood-burning heater. Its rounded timber form and wood-fired setup define the project. The project page shows the sauna as installed at our customer’s home.

Burning wood is a deliberate choice. You may enjoy that ritual, or an electric heater may suit your routine better. In the showroom, we discuss the difference and consider which setup suits your property and its surroundings.

Before installation

What your space needs

Before choosing a wood-burning heater, discuss installation requirements and the setting around the sauna. A wood-fired example is not a recommendation for every address. Neighbouring properties and any local rules should form part of the decision.

Before installation, we check the base, connections and rules for your address. The municipal permit check is included at no extra charge.

Frequently asked

Spa or sauna in Zaandam

Does a barrel sauna always use a wood-burning heater?

No. Our Zaandam project has a Harvia Linear 16 wood-burning heater, but electric options are also available. Suitability depends on the sauna model, your preference and the situation at your address.

Do I come to the showroom, or do you come to me?

Compare models in our showroom in ’s-Graveland. We deliver, install and service at your home in Zaandam. Swim spa consultations also take place in the showroom; test swims are arranged off site.

Do I need a permit for a spa or sauna in Zaandam?

That depends on the type of installation and the rules at your address in Zaandam. We check with the municipality as part of the process, without a separate charge. A permit exemption cannot be determined from the town name alone.
